Mary-Audrey Ramirez's works are inspired by video and computer games and have an imaginative, apocalyptic aesthetic. Known for her large sculptural and material works, the artist creates experiential spaces in which viewers witness events far removed from our world. The protagonists: handmade, alien-like creatures.
The image Hi, empty eyes is part of a completely new cycle of works. Creatures preserved as if in ice are reminiscent of embryos of alien species in early stages of development. They were created through the use of artificial intelligence: software that was trained to generate completely new images from a text description through associations.
