Notes for your visit
even in times of the pandemic, it is important to us to make your visit at Kunstpalais safe and at the same time as pleasant and smooth as possible.
A pre-registration for your museum visit is not required.
In accordance with the current Bavarian Infection Protection Measures Ordinance, we ask you to note the following: As of Wednesday, November 24, the “2G-plus-rule” applies. This means that the visit of the museum is only possible for vaccinated or recovered persons who provide a negative COVID-19-test.
Note: As of December 15, 2021, vaccinated individuals who have received an additional dose of vaccine as a booster (after 14 days of this vaccination and unless otherwise regulated by federal law) no longer need additional proof of testing.
Proof of recovery
Those who have recovered will need proof regarding the presence of prior infection with SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in embodied or digital form in English, French, German, Italian or Spanish. This proof must be based on a test by laboratory diagnostics by means of nucleic acid detection (PCR, PoC-PCR or other methods of nucleic acid amplification technology), which dates back at least 28 days and at most six months. In addition to a PCR test, a certificate of segregation from the public health department, for example, also counts as proof.
Proof of vaccination
Proof of complete vaccination against COVID-19 with a vaccine approved in the European Union is equivalent to the required test proof from day 15 after the final vaccination. This can be proven with the vaccination certificate in embodied or digital form, in which the vaccination is documented in accordance with § 22 IfSG. If no vaccination certificate is available or presented at the time of vaccination, the documentation is done by issuing a so-called vaccination certificate, which contains the same information. This is also suitable as proof of a complete vaccination.
Proof of test
A person is considered tested if he or she can provide written or electronic negative test evidence regarding infection with SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. The evidence must be based on either
- a PCR test, PoC-PCR test, or test by other methods of nucleic acid amplification technique performed 48 hours or less ago, or
- a PoC antigen test performed no more than 24 hours ago or
- on an antigen test approved by the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices and carried out on site under the "supervision" of a staff member for self-administration by laypersons (self-test)
