The Shop: Books, Art and Pretty Things

The artworks, the atmosphere, the joy, the interesting and the special can also be taken home – on paper. In close cooperation with the respective artist, we produce elaborate catalogs and artist books, which are as individual in form and content as the corresponding artworks themselves. You can find more details about the layout, authors and texts below under the individual title.

In keeping with the Municipal Art Collection, which specializes in multiplied art, some artists also produce graphics or multiples so that we can offer them to visitors to Kunstpalais. So far, one of a kind 3D-printed sculptures by Florian Meisenberg, a cap with LED lights by Alona Rodeh, and prints by Grace Weaver and Vivian Greven are available here.
People who like art also like to surround themselves with beautiful things, as we know from our own experience. That’s exactly the reason why Kunstpalais has a curator-curated museum store with jazzy, eye-catching, unconventional things that we’d like to own ourselves or would love to give as gifts: Jewelry made from laser-cut Plexiglas or crocheted yarn from Japan, England, and Australia, fine leather cooking aprons from the Netherlands, plant planets and gem galaxies from Denmark, special pieces of tableware and vases from ancient times – and whatever else we are able to find.
Our books, prints, and multiples can also be ordered online; everything else can be found exclusively on our store shelves in Kunstpalais until further notice. For urgent repeat orders or desires awakened via our Instagram account – we will gladly try to send you these things as well.
We will accept your orders by e-mail, stating the item number, at info@kunstpalais.de. Purchases worth up to EUR 100 (plus shipping costs) will be sent to you on account within Germany. For amounts over 100 EUR (plus shipping costs) we will send the goods immediately upon receipt of proof of payment.
Sieverding
The presentation of Katharina Sieverding's work, which spans more than two decades and focuses on her 1992 series of works Kristallisations-Bilder (Crystallization Pictures), focuses attention on an artistic concept that, due to its concentration on the essence of human life in the field of tension between the individual and society, seems to have been of almost incalculable importance at the time.

From the very beginning of her experimental exploration of the medium, Katharina Sieverding has developed photography into a form of expression that has become groundbreaking for artists' photography.

At the center of her work is the examination of human existence in a present of individual and collective threat. In the mostly monumental photographs, which are entirely determined by the direction of color and light, a form of perception is condensed in which the current world of experience comes into friction with timeless and placeless visions of wholeness, which challenge the contemporary medium to a complex exchange of perception between author/work and viewer about elementary questions of existence.

Published on the occasion of the exhibition Katharina Sieverding at the Bonner Kunstverein (16.06. - 09.08.1992), at the Galerie der Stadt Sindelfingen (08.11.1992 - 03.01.1993), at the Salzburger Kunstverein im Künstlerhaus (13.01. - 14.02.1993), at the Städtische Galerie Erlangen (26.02. - 28.03.1993) and at the Nassauischer Kunstverein Wiesbaden (07.11.1993 - 16.01.1994).
