Opening Hours

Tuesday–Sunday: 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
Wednesday: 10 a.m.–8 p.m.

Opening hours only apply to current exhibitions. During changes of exhibitions Kunstpalais remains closed.

Admission Prices

4 €, reduced 2 €

Reduced admission: young people from 6 to 18 years, pupils and student with student card, senior citizens from 65 years, recipients of unemployment benefit II, basic security according to the regulations of SGB XII, housing benefit or vocational training allowance, benefits according to the Asylum Seekers Benefits Act, people with disabilities from 70% disability, holders of AktivCard, JuleiCa, BrigitteCard, artCard

Free admission: Holders of the ErlangenPass and the Entdecker-Pass

Holiday schedule

Open for you on Epiphany, Shrove Tuesday, Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday, May Day, Ascension Day, Whit Sunday, Corpus Christi, German Unity Day and All Saints' Day, provided the holidays do not fall on a Monday.

Unfortunately closed on New Year's Day, Shrove Monday, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Whit Monday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Eve.

Applications for exhibitions

Kunstpalais generally does not work with unsolicited applications for its exhibition program. Please understand that we cannot return materials sent to us, such as catalogs, brochures, or work samples, for capacity reasons.

Arrival by train

Erlangen is very easy to reach by train. Kunstpalais is located within five minutes walking distance of the main train station.

Arrival by car

Motorway A 73 Nürnberg-Bamberg. Exit Number 32 Erlangen Zentrum.

Notes for physically impaired people

Step-free access via the side entrance on Hauptstrasse. An elevator provides step-free access to the exhibition space in the basement.
